Kudos to Joe and Mike for some really clutch play of late. I think we'll miss these two Seniors more than we might appreciate. Joe has great hands around the net -- reminds me a lot of Tim Kerr from the Flyers years ago. Joe seems to score every goal either off a rebound or on a deflection. I can see him garnering attention as a free agent this season, as it's not easy to find guys who have such a knack around the net. As for Mike, he seems to be getting his shots on net much more frequently this year, as he's not just blasting away with slapshots; rather, he's using the well-placed wristshot that is either being tipped (usually by Joe) or leads to a good rebound opportunity.

I was surprised no one followed-up when I posted in February ... any takers now?

I'm really not looking for a pat on the back (well, maybe I am ); but I just think that Joe Devin, especially, has not received his due this year. Clearly the team MVP. I imagine that given the scoring touch he's developed this year, as well as his decent size, that he'll get signed by some pro organization.

"It's a great program, a great atmosphere and an Ivy League education. It was between Northeastern and Cornell. With no scholarships (at Cornell), it was a tough decision, but we're very happy with what we did."
Wow! That's real commitment! Kudos to the Devins!

And also to their parents, who periodically grumble good-naturedly about the bills.

A nice pro contract for one of their kids should satisfy their grumblings.

Nice look into the crystal ball, but I didn't see anyone predict that Joe would be flattened by his teammates after the goal on Sunday. I love that video.
