I don't get caught up in analytics. ELynah and the forum are going to do what they're going to do and they seem to be just fine, but it's time for my annual peek at the numbers.

3/31/09-3/31/10
297,710 visits
2,423,426 pageviews
32,146 unique visitors from 107 countries
10.07% new visits
38.56% of you returned 201+ times in the last year
Among mobile customers: 48% Android, 34% BlackBerry, 9.5% iPhone
Browsers: Firefox 44%, IE 34%, Safari 14%
OS: Windows 72%, Mac 23%
Busiest day: 3/21/10 with 2,378 visits
Best search term that led to ELF: Tie between "colgate join turned down ivy league" and "suck on it fleetcenter"

Thanks to all of you for making ELF such a great community!

I.e. I still think I would be happier with an iPhone and also wonder if I could spell i.e. at the beginning of this sentence without upper case i if I had an iPhone.

That's pretty incredible. I think I viewed from about 8 different countries this year myself. I also wonder which country my visits from CERN were credited to, since it's technically not in Switzerland or France... :)

You'd have to click off the autocorrect box, but it's at least possible. =]

I did some rounding. Actually about 72.5 and 23.5%. 2.33% Linux. .5% Android, .4% iPhone .4% BlackBerry... >0.00% Playstation 3 ;)

My list: UK, Canada, France, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, and US - could only come up with 7, actually.

Me from work has to be a good portion of the Linux total.

Big numbers. Good numbers. Even better than Yale's numbers on offense.

We can't break down metrics for how many of our posts are from work, right? bolt

Well, there's the little donate button to the right that could probably help discourage Age from doing so! ;)

Out of curiosity, how do the numbers compare from the same time last year? Might be able to partial out just how many basketball-bandwagoners the site received.

I can't do a direct comparison because I screwed up the bit of code for analytics while working on the page and didn't have numbers from the beginning of the year to the middle of October in 2008. But for Oct 19 2009-Mar 31 2010 compared to the previous year, visits are up 1.57%. Interestingly, pageviews are actually down 30%, almost entirely due to, I'd guess, the relative elimination of game threads. These numbers don't include Chat or the main ELynah site, incidentally.

Edit: Replaced the map with one excluding US and Canada, because, well, duh.

Looks like Robb has been busy. :-}

I'm guessing that if you did one for calendar year 2008, Germany would be a lot darker.
