Cornell falls to #7...Women climb to #6.
When was the last time the women's team was ranked higher than the men's team?

My guess is either spring of 1998 (they finished 5th in the ECAC, back when women's hockey basically consisted of the ECAC and Minnesota) or never.

If such rankings existed in the mid 70's (they probably didn't), the women had a shot. They were 17-2 in 1977-78, including a 3-game span outscoring Colgate, Cortland and Oswego 56-2. The 1989-90 team was 14-4, and the aforementioned 1997-98 squad was 15-8-3.

FWIW (and it's not worth much), can't really justify keeping us in front of Quinnipiac

That was my point in prior thread. Once we start out ahead in preseason poll, it's hard to get displaced. I suspect if this week were the first pol, Q might be ahead.scoop85

Princeton: Kalemba

Quinnipiac beat Princeton 5-1 tonight at home. Kalemba gave up 4 goals in less than 30 minutes and was pulled. Does anyone know why he isn't playing nearly as well as he did last year? This year he is: 3.65, 0.890 in 6 games. Last year he was 1.83, 0.932 in 34 games.
The pre-season expectations were very high for him.
