Haven't done one of these in a while. This just screamed for one. Hopefully USCHO and Melissa Wade won't be too miffed if I borrow the photo for entertainment purposes.

So far, a tie for the lead between your "Free Bird" (one word? two? doesn't matter 'cuz you're stoned?) and Beeeej's "...so then Fuzzy Zoeller says, 'Even God can't hit a one-iron!!'"

Hey, allow a bit of poetic leeway. Some jokes don't modernize. Like, "You expect me to believe we get all the way to this secluded spot overlooking the city lights ... and now your right out of bio-ethanol?" See the earlier discussion of whether it was Fuzzy Zoeller or Lee Trevino and the can't-hit-a-one-iron line. Or maybe Jack Nicklaus.

I wasn't trying to rudely correct you, I was trying to piggyback off your post to simultaneously celebrate our new machines and belittle the city for taking so long to get with it.billhowardftyuvThe T is finally modernized and uses a combination of magnet-strip throwaways and RFID cards.billhoward

Looks as if we're all celebrating the one really useful thread started since our early exit in the playoffs. This is way better than beating on Rich S for his team not representing the ECAC as well as we'd hoped, or the trashing of the Cornell team. I think we're all getting itchy for October to roll around.

If you're so irked that the ECAC wasn't better represented, perhaps you should be beating on Schafer.

Beat up on Schafer for being the best coach Cornell has had since Richard Nixon bugged the Oval Office? Not me.
I believe in reversion to norm (and have used that term a bit too often recently). For both Cornell hockey and hoops, this was the odd year, although Cornell hoops chauvinists are trying to convince us otherwise.
Rich, your team done good up until you made the NCAAs and probably watched films of Harvard for NCAA playoff tips. Is it just coinidennce that "Veritas" and "One and Done" have the same syncopation? I think not. Enjoy the ECAC banner and let's see what next year brings.

Come on now, that's not fair. They could easily have been watching film of their own team's NCAA performance in the 90s.
