Re: We're gonna be in the news again - 7 weeks ago
chimpfood I mean the fact is that Cornell doesn’t have enough money to keep running properly if they don’t get some funding back. Cornell is doing what is best for its students and that is totally logical because those are the people that pay to attend. Would it be nice to be in a financial spot where we wouldn’t have to grovel for our money back? Sure. But would it make enough of a difference toby ugarte - John Spencer Is Dead

Not making a new thread for this but Chris Mañon had a very good summer league and was signed to a two-way deal by the Lakers. He'll probably wind up in the G but that's still cool. Also, the NBA spells his name with a tilde which I don't think Cornell ever did.by ugarte - Other Sports

marty adamw BearLover stereax Ok so as per this what I understood is true: Draft rights: starting in 2027 draft • age 18, rights expire on the fourth June 1 afterward. • 19 or older, rights expire on the third June 1 afterward. • if NCAA, rights expire following the 30th day after Central Registry is informed the player is leaving college hockey So the exception I was referring to abby ugarte - Hockey

Incoming frosh Jaxon Joy took bronze at U20 Pan Ams in Peru. He lost in the semis on criteria to a Pitt RSFR from Canada but rolled the other two guys. He's #4 on the U20 ladder for 70kg but he was the one who wanted to go. Anthony Knox, who we've talked about as a greyshirt, passed on repping the US at 57kg in favor of training with the RTC staff.by ugarte - Other Sports

He will represent Team USA at the world championships in Novi Sad, Siberia Serbia this October. Actually... he will probably not be in Siberia or Serbia. ER stereax upprdeck So if rooms were $150 a night people would be fine with the cost but $300 is too much? I get a 7 day vacation it adding up but to quibble about $150 for 2 day thing? stereax Michigan is a much bigger program lmao. If they wanted him, playing there is a more "sure-fire" way to getting more eyes and eventually the possibility of an NHL deal. Plus the NIL specter. Plus iirc Mich graduated/lost almost all its good dmen.I don't think it's about "eyes" - that's not an issue. The two big differences IMO are (a) NIL, or at least a scholarship andby ugarte - Hockey
