Do you suppose http://www.uscho.com/recaps/20022003/m/11/15/cor-uvm.php has permission to use the Cornell Athletics bear logo?

By the way, Adam, great piece - and really nice to see it up on USCHO so quickly after the game.

Thanks Jeff ...

The logo is covered under Fair Use ... or perhaps another related copyright clause.

But I'm certain it's a long-established media right to utilize logos for news purposes.  You see them in the newspaper every day.  I'd cite specifics, but my law books are home  :-)

(you were probably kidding but figured I'd say it anyway)

I also wouldn't be surprised if an institution as large as ESPN.com (or Disney for that matter) has a blanket license for logos and such through the NCAA that covers affiliates such as USCHO.com.

Not true, as far as I know.  Certainly not true in the case of USCHO.
