I don't think there's any need to apologize for this.  I agree with you.

O'Byrne's presence on D kept Cornell in the running during McKee's shakier periods.

More generally, I think we place too much emphasis on the goaltender and too little on how a well-executed defensive system keeps McKee from having to face too many high-percentage shots.  O'Byrne is currently the finest cog in that system, yet also knows when it's safe to deviate from that for a chance at catching the opposing team off-guard.

Cheers,
Kyle

Natyshak-Paolini (career improvement) - Pegs I know McCutcheon had an amazing year, but this is improvement over career. I hope to hell he can improve upon this year and really become a force on the ice.
MacFarlane (transcendent beauty and skating prowess) - McCutcheon
Shippel-Hornby (scrappiness and effort) - Scott
Gage (supporting role) - Gleed Made some really good plays all year long, glad he finally got a goal against CC
Schafer-Bâby (leadership and passion) - Chris Abbott
Belanger-Murphy (loathed ref) - No Opinion
Carter-Moore (most respected opponent) - Elliott
Melrose-Nickerson (least respected opponent) - Eh, no comment
Dadswell-Vesce (best freshman) - Mugford With Seminoff in a close second, but loses due to bad penalties
Nieuwendyk-Murray (MVP) - Moulson I know everyone loves McKee (and I do too before people rip me apart) but I don't know where we'd be without Moulson's 18 goals this season. Next year will be fun because teams won't know who to smother at first:-P
