Thanks to REDHead for posting the contact info for Doug Logan, and to those of us that called or e-mailed. Apparently we got through to him, as Time Warner Cable will now be showing the Cornell vs. Colorado College game live on Channel 26, which is, of course, one of the standard channels.

What's that they say about the squeaky wheel...

Just called to thank Doug.  He was very friendly, thanking us for our interest, and said he will be watching the game with us.  He said the Crunch were gracious enough to let TW out of their contractual obligation so that our game could be squeezed in.  If someone knows who to contact for the Crunch, maybe we could send them a couple of e-mails thanking them as well.

Doug also called me, since I had called and e-mailed. He asked me if I knew Deb, and I said that I did, and told him about this forum. (It was obvious that he realized someone had posted his contact info somewhere, and suggested others call/e-mail.) I told him that I had already posted his e-mail to me, witht he good news, and that there would be a lot of fans that appreciated his efforts. He said to let everyone know that he "recognizes a good forecheck when he sees one."

He seems like a real nice guy who understands customer service. Nice to encounter someone like that for a change.

As I posted on another thread they still don't have it listed on their program site. But if Doug Logan says so it's true. He was the SU announcer for fball and bball until SU took the rights away from WSYR and to the highest bidder. He decided to stay with WSYR, loyalty I guess. He was also the sports broardcaster for the local ABC channel until he got this job with TW.

Ithaca Journal this morning also reporting the live games on TWC this weekend.

Last year I lobbied TW Southern Tier (Corning, Elmira) to show the regionals and was successful.

They have been consistently responsive to the requests of Cornell Hockey fans.  Kudos TW!

Well, interesting, big companies have problems, duh! When I click on the local TWCNY listing for their sports channel (26), I get the CC-CU game 5:30 Sat.. When I check on the program guide for Syracuse suburb, I get some udigtv website which still lists bowling. The old left hand, right hand routine I guess. However I feel a lot better that I'll get to watch it, if I can't get there.:-)

The online TW Corning schedule still doen't show the Sat game.  We'll call them tomorrow to show additional support.  Please post if/when TW Southern Tier (specifically Corning) is verified.  Thanks!

I am pretty sure it is verified. I e-mailed Doug Logan earlier today, to make sure that the e-mail he had sent me applied to Syracuse as well as Ithaca, and this was the response he sent, from his Blackberry (which is why it is so short.)

Channel 26 will be carrying it system-wide...originating in Syracuse. Enjoy!

I would expect "system-wide" would include Corning.

It is not surprising that websites, etc., are not being updated. If you really want to make sure that it is being shown in Corning I would just call your local office, or e-mail Doug Logan directly to make sure, but I don't think any more "lobbying" is necessary.

Thanks for the clarification.  We'll check w TW today when their offices open.  Their regular schedule seems to vary - even between the local towns down here.  We started making plans to watch the games on campus (Risley), not thinking that the Corning market was big enough to encourage a programming change.  This will be a good learning to better understand how TW manages its programming!

Well they finally have it up on their internet udigtv site, so all is good with the world.:-) I assume that everyone in their cny area should see it on their online program guide. Unfortunately when I check my tv program guide for Sat., it still lists bowling and AHL.:-/ It's amazing how complicated companies make things. You would think that someone could tell one person that a progamming change has been made and that person would take care of changing everything. Now maybe my tv guide has not been updated at home, and the central server has it correctly, but I was under the impression that my DVR box talked to the server daily. Maybe they just made the change this AM, so not enough time to change at home yet?

I just checked my program guide, and it's not listed here either, although the two games before it are.  But I would recommend setting up a manual record either way, since if you just record the programming block you risk missing parts of the game.  The last time I did it that way, the Colgate game was delayed because of the uniform screw-up and my recording ended a couple of minutes before the game-winning goal.
