I personally don't have many gripes with the list...except I think these two should be switched.

Looking at the list of award-winners, one who knows nothing about hockey would be baffled as to how Cornell, with so little of the talent in the league (as indicated by the awards), managed to even stay close to Colgate, Dartmouth and SLU.  (Harvard as well, for that matter.)  Considering how few goals Cornell allowed (just 2 more than league-low Colgate), you'd think maybe someone on the Red would've gotten a sniff at either DFotY or DDotY, but I guess the coaches were just salivating at an opportunity to give awards to someone who doesn't play home games in Ithaca.  Mike Ouellette a defensive forward?  That's pretty laughable.  "Hey, he scored a shorthanded goal this year, he must be a defensive forward, let's give it to him."  Riiiiiiight.

Also, as a completely unrelated comment, Dekanich over Mayotte is pretty absurd.  Yes, I know what the stats say, but fuck stats.  If Oli Jonas wins it over Matt Underhill and Mike Walsh, then Kris Mayotte should hands-down win it over Dekanich.

Part of that doesn't agree with the list on the ECAC site http://www.ecachockeyleague.com/news/men/awards2006. As an RPI fan, I will point out specifically that Keith MCWilliams made the third team, and that it is Mathias, not Mattias, Lange.

To think that MCWilliams has completed his fourth season, and I still haven't received a satisfactory answer as to why the "C" in his name is capitalized.

Harvard had one second team and one HM (there was no third team) in 2002.
Harvard has no first or second teamers in '04. Welch was HM (again no third team).

I really like the idea of the Turfer Trophy and I think St. Lawrence is a great pick for it.
