Section A

Higgins gets tossed and a DQ for fighting! He and two other Bulldogs will be suspended for Friday's game in Lynah.

Hell yeah. I'll def make a sign taunting him

I'm listening to the game online and although it took them some time, the Yale announcers have "confirmed" that Higgins and two others (missed the names, but one was described as their "top defender") will be out for the next game. Apparently Higgins dropped the gloves --the granddaddy of no-no's in college hockey.

N. Dak has exploded in the 3rd, getting two goals in about the span of 20 seconds to lead 4-1.

In other news: Brown leads Harvard 3-0 in the 3rd.

Section A

4 DQs for Yale. Their entire first line is out.

jason

Yikes! Now its 5-1, I think the three 3rd period goals for N. Dak were all in the span of minute or so.

4 DQ? I may have misheard (I thought the announcer said 3) since I'm watching some college football on tv with the Yale game in the background.

From what I read on the USCHO boards, in addition to Higgins, Yale will be without seniors Evan Wax, Nick Deschenes, and Stacey Bauman next Friday at Lynah.  Way to shoot yourselves in the foot, guys!  :-D

(Apparently the DQs have hurt Yale more than UND; Yale trailed 2-1 at the time of the brawl and are now down 5-1.)

"They do all kind of just blend together into one giant dildo."

7-3 now, game over.

One penalty shot goal for Yale.

LGR!

According to collegehockeystats.com, all the penalties were game misconducts, not DQ's...USCHO doesn't have the penatly box score up.  I guess we shall wait and see.

Ben Doyle 03

Nope, they are all listed as Game DQ's:

". . .four players from each squad were handed major penalties for fighting that carried game disqualifications. Those disqualifications also mean all eight are suspended for the next game."

Here is the link for the rest of the recap:

Let's GO Red!!!!

USCHO boxscores don't show penalties so it won't be any help, but the recap is up at USCHO and says fighting majors with DQs. If the imputus were indeed fighting majors, then it has to be DQs --there's no referee discretion in such case.

I'm already looking forward to listening to the FREE Yale broadcast of the game to see if and how badly their announcers whine about the suspensions.  Only 5 more days until we find out!

Any chance Yale pull's a St. John's Maple Leafs and pulls some guys out who coul do damage?  Or will this be another York where they don't get the memmo they have a power play?  By the way, has Murry ever seen a Power Play slapper he didn't want to take.  What a cannon on that guy.
Sitting in section D, the new section B.
