Oh man, this is hilarious...they left the microphone on during the commercials and you can hear the announcer arguing with his daughter about giving her $10 to buy hot chocolate, and not getting any change.  Anyone else hear this?  ::laugh::

Someone should e-mail Barry and ask him if he got his change back. :-P

Yale is leading Princeton 9-7 with about six minutes left in the fourth quarter. Whoa. Make Cornell's win at Yale seem a little more substantial.

Now PU ball with just under a minute left. Groan. Tigers got 'em right where they want 'em?

Hillel Hoffmann

Another PU timeout, now 0:32 left.

Yale wins it

Yale wins. No. Way. Yale wins.

Not totally unprecedented during PU's Reign of Terror. Yale beat PU in Princeton back in 2002. What's unusual here is it happening on the road, where Princeton NEVER loses. Most recent wins against PU by other Ivies have been in NJ for some reason.

Perhaps, but have we ever beaten a team by 9, who then went on to beat Princeton?

For that matter, during "PU's Reign of Terror" has ANY Ivy team beaten another team by 9, and that other team then went on to beat Princeton? It's not just the loss that surprises me, it's the transitive comparison.

Hillel Hoffmann

I hear you, Fred, but here's an alarmingly recent example of why one shouldn't pay too much attention to transitive relationships.

Just two years ago, we DESTROYED Dartmouth in Hanover by eight goals. A truly dominating performance against a really good team on the road. That very same season, Dartmouth CRUSHED Princeton in New Jersey by about the same score. One of the worst losses Princeton had suffered to a league opponent during the Time of Trouble.

Remember what the score of the Cornell-Princeton game in Ithaca was that year?

Princeton killed us, 17-9, in Ithaca. I wasn't there, but I was told it wasn't even that close.

 Now I've been bounced off.

Bad situation at the Navy-Georgetown game.  An official collapsed on the field and both teams have been sent to their locker rooms.  Taken from the field motionless on a stretcher.  Does not look like good at all.[/q]

The official, Scotty Boyle, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Could someone please fill me in on the meaning of the "fish" game?  Obviously, I've missed something.
