After much unknown and confusion regarding satellite channels, we've firmed things up with Ship of Fools, cleared up the channel confusion, and we're on to watch the games this weekend in NYC!  PLEASE COME!  Here's the official announcement:

Join Metro NY alums to watch the Cornell hockey team play in the NCAA west regional championships in Minneapolis this weekend!

The details are final and the satellite is pointed to the right coordinates. Put on your hockey jerseys and rehearse your cheers.  We won our 11th ECAC championship last weekend in Albany, and now it’s time to cheer on the Big Red as they make their way to the Frozen Four.

Join us at Ship of Fools Bar and Grille, 1590 2nd Ave., between 82nd and 83rd Streets on Saturday, March 26.  No.2 seed Cornell plays No.3 Ohio State at 6pm, but we’ll be there starting at 2:30pm to watch the first regional game (No. 1 Minnesota vs. No. 4 Maine).  Please come early to catch all the action!

We are hoping for as large a gathering as possible (we’ve reserved a back room), so come one and all and spread the word.  For those of you who are college hoops fans, there will be plenty of TVs showing Elite Eight games as well.

Provided Cornell wins their Saturday game, we’ll be back at Ship of Fools on Sunday, March 27 at 3:00pm to watch Cornell take on the winner of the Maine v. Minnesota game to secure an advance to the Frozen Four.

Disclaimer: Cable and satellite providers reserve the right to switch to another game and do not have control over blackout restrictions; they must follow the rules as they are defined by individual leagues.  We’ve done our best to ensure Ship of Fools can receive the satellite channel on which the game is supposed to air and have every reason to believe it will be broadcast, but we can not provide a 100% guarantee.

GO BIG RED!

I'll probably be at Ship, either by myself or with 1 or 2 other people.

The Westchester alternative is still out there for anyone who can't make it downtown.

Is there still a $40/person charge at Ship of Fools?

Pretty sure that was just a general average to aspire to, not anything like a set cover.

I'm there... thanks for the fine work. Now I can abort plans of returning early to Ithaca, and keep Spring Break going.
