Why are there no defense cheers?

A few years ago with the frozen four team a few defensive cheers started catching on but have since disappeared.  We are known as a defense first team but yet we have no cheers to support our defensive stars.  Moulson and McKee get a lot of attention and rightfully so but what about Iggulden and Carefoot who go against the opposing teams top lines night in and night out.  I think we should have more cheers to support our defense especially on the penalty kill.  We need to let other schools no that we love defense at Lynah!  What does everyone else think?

Sounds great.  Suggest a few that you think will sound good and catch on.

Actually, it's more of a version of the Australia cheer, "Aussie Aussie Aussie!!  Oi! Oi! Oi!"

I recall hearing cheer for Knoepfli and/or Varteressian in section A during their freshman year. It was very similar to the cheer for Svoboda. Does anyone know how it goes? It didn't catch on because few heard it clearly.

S-V-O-B-O-D-A, Varteressian!  Go-go, Varteressian!
?

(Dan Svoboda wore #9 before Varteressian.)

It was in the original Svoboda cheer, right?

One of my favorite things I've seen at another school is the way BU students sing/clap "Ole" the whole time when the Terriers are on power play and then some other song when on penalty kill.  It'd be great if something could be thought up along those lines (without copying BU) as I'm sure it would give a bit more spark to our players, than the random "Let's Go Red" or "XXXX SUCKS"

lots of war on terror-esque possibilities here:

moulson is a WMD
threat level red
downs and cook: Homeland Defense/secretary of defense
athletics department of defense

kinda sad, kinda amusing

For the 2003 ECAC championship game, my mom, who is a high school art teacher, had her students make one of those warning signs like you buy in the hardware store. It said, "Beware of the Doug." Mom is great.
