What's it take to get an at large bid?

Of course we can, it's just the law of averages, that there will probably be an upset somewhere.  I would bet on 7-2-1 record as the midpoint of Cornell's likely performance on the remaining schedule.  A split with Colgate, a tie @ SLU and one upset out of the 7 other games in which we're clearly favored to win.

"You're never as good as you look when you win, or as a bad as you look when you lose."  This team barely escaped with wins against Maine, Union and Vermont, has 4 other 2-goal wins, one of which was against Princeton, and but for an eng they would have had another against Canisius.  Although they've been playing well, let's not get silly... they aren't going to run the table, because stuff happens: a hot goalie, a few bad bounces, an insane referee, or an off night.  I look at the remaining games and pray for 4-1 at home and 3-1-1 on the road.  That would make them 16-4-2 34 for the season and, depending upon how the games against Colgate break, give them a shot at the RS title.

I think in addtion to making it to Albany, we'd need to see at least one win there.  Of course, two would be great too.

YES!!  OK, who had January 27 at 6:02 pm in the raffle?  I love seeing how soon somebody drops the "run the table" line when talking about NCAA positioning.  I've jokingly said it in November.  But the great thing about this era in Big Red Hockey is that it hasn't been laughable to say it at this time of the season, as it's become a Schafer hallmark to get red-hot by the start of February.

Agreed, that 3 of 4 losses were by one goal (omitting the ENG against BC) and the other was by 2 goals.

That sounds about right,  7-2-1 overall.  I just don't think you need to pray for it.

It's always crucial to take it one game at a time.  When a team starts looking long term and big picture, that's when they lose.

Fans on the other hand are entitled to look as far into the future as they want.

I just wanna help the team

Things will work out

Sometimes you win
Sometimes you lose
And sometimes it rains.

Think about that.

Well I believe in the soul, the puck, the penalty box, a stick in the small of the back, the sprawling kick save, high intensity, good gatorade, that the articles of Ari Baum are hockey nerd-indulgent, overrated crap.  I believe Matt Moulson acted alone.  I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing John Murphy and the "No Throwing Candy Rule."  I believe in the hip check, hard-core checks into the boards in front of section A, making the NCAA tournament by winning in Albany though you would have had an at-large anyway, and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days.  Good afternoon.

(It's Friday afternoon and I have too much time on my hands.  7 hours instead of 6 between class and hockey does not do a Junior good.  Let's Go Red.)
