i'll be at brown with 7 more from '04
then at harvard with....35 from '04. not bad huh?

we'll also be at john harvard's before the harvard game. not the best food, not the best service, and you need to be in by 5PM if you have a large group if you even dream of making the game on time. BUT it is the only place i have found that can accomodate large groups in the area and there seems to be a huge cornell draw there every year.

I'll be at both, with family, gf, and more. Hope to see everyone there. I'll try to squeeze us all into John Harvards too, so long as we can fit the big group :)

Mike,
How the &%$# you guys manage to get that many tickets this year???   ::screwy::
I am hoping that my tickets will come through, via my former boss at Hahvahd...

tom,

myself and another grad student (he's non-cornell but hates harvard) there decided to waste our $ buying student season tickets, which guaranteed that we could reserve 6 each to the game (plus our own 2), so that's 14..just for cornell. i didn't know how many people we had coming, so i told everyone i knew to call the box office. turns out that 4 people got through, and got 6 tickets each, leaving us with lots more than we expected. once we had the tickets, it was easy to convince friends to come up for the game. getting tickets to the brown game was much simpler...their ticket office is looking to sell those away.

in retrospect, despite the fact that harvard is having a very good year, i absolutely hate going to their games, so it was a big waste of money to buy their season package, especially since people got through anyway. but..cue the mastercard commercial...harvard tuition to get student id card: $38,000, student season tickets with harvard id card: $110, sharing harvard season tickets with 40 cornell classmates to watch harvard lose..priceless, or something like that.

just in case anyone was curious, all 35 or so people coming up were cu season ticket holders, so we should have a little bit of a raucous crowd in just our little group.

We'll be at both games as well.  Scored 6 for Lynah East by calling repeatedly as soon as the phone lines opened.  Can't remember what section we're in, but I think we're in the corner between the Bid Red and Sucks bands.  Brown tix were a lot easier to get, so we snagged 8 for that one.

I can't make it to Providence, but I'll be at Bright both nights for Colgate and then Cornell.  Despite my disdain for John Harvard's, I'll be there before and after the CU game with five others, just for the company of you fine people, and to see the mortified look on the locals' faces once the "Har-vard... SUCKS!" chants start.

Good times... I can't wait.

Count us in.  We just got standing room tickets!! HARVARD SUCKS! :-)

I'll be there, sitting/standing with Jon and Kate, who were gracious enough to provide me with tickets, as well as at John Harvard's.  Here's hoping it's not freaking freezing again this time.   ::worry::

Mike,
I don't suppose you have any tickets left?  I ended up in a situation where I only have standing room tickets.  My wife is less than thrilled about them, but of course is willing to deal with them (hey, they will get us into the rink).  However, seated tickets are always preferred, so I am still looking for 3 tix.  Willing to trade the standing room tickets and pay the difference (SRO tix are $9 a piece).  If you know of anyone who wants to save a few bucks and don't mind standing instead on Saturday, let me know at
Thanks, Tom

Mike,
I think you ought to look at this as an opportunity to hackle Harvard hockey and watch them getting defeated on their home ice for a whole season.  I would not think of it as wasted money necessarily.  I admire your gutsiness and dedication!  :-)

Just the married ones or all of them?

Hey Mike,
Looks like they're all kissing your ass now.  Where were they when you were being chastised by Greg Berge for your cheers?  I guess when it comes down to looking inadequate in front of your wife (as is Tom's situation), everyone becomes your friend.

Your last post was much funnier.  You might want to consider a shakeup in your writing staff.
