If any other Bay Area fans are interested, Doug Murray will be playing at the Shark Tank Nov. 9.  I'm planning to go; it's probably the only live hockey I'll get to see this year.

Barons To Play In San Jose

The San Jose Sharks will host an American Hockey League game at HP Pavilion on Tuesday, Nov. 9 at
7:30 p.m. PST. The game will feature a regular season match-up between the Cleveland Barons, the Sharks top development affiliate, and the Edmonton Roadrunners, the top AHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers.

Complimentary tickets to the game will be mailed to all Sharks season ticket holders, including full and partial plan holders, suite holders and sponsors. A limited number of tickets will also be available for purchase to the general public in exchange for a $5 donation to The Sharks Foundation. Tickets will go on sale on Oct. 15 and can be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.com or at the HP Pavilion Ticket Office. Parking for the event will be free.

"We promised our loyal fans that we would strive to provide additional benefits while asking them to bear with us while the NHL season is delayed," said Jamison. "This game is just one of the ways that we are trying to say ‘thank you' to our season ticket holders and offer Sharks fans an exciting chance to see some of the organization's brightest future stars play in San Jose."

In addition to the game, the Sharks will be conducting a canned food drive in conjunction with Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties prior to the contest. Anyone who brings one or more canned food items will be eligible to win exciting prizes during a game-long raffle.

Both Cleveland and Edmonton will arrive in San Jose on Monday and are expected to participate in the normal day-of-game skates on Tuesday morning. Media planning on attending should contact the Sharks media relations department for additional information.
