If it's a 250-person waiting list or 500 seats at 2 seats per person that's both a noticeable backlog and not huge. It's not as if we could upsize by 50% Lynah (to where BU's rink is now sized) and expect to sell out.

Tom,

Can't speak to section H -  but the upper part of Section O  has a number of season ticket holders (personally I only know about  5-6  but all the people around them are there every game) that have been there for years!   Some folks like seeing more of our offensive end and the opposing keeper!  so atl east  geustimate  30-50  seats gone there as season tickets.    I was on the list 3-4 years before I got my season tickets when I first moved to area in 1988-89.

Thanks for the info.  I just remember seeing single game seats available in O, and so assumed there were no season tickets allotted to that section.  There may well be season ticket holders in H, too, which would cut down on the single game availability and increase the number of non-student ticket holders.  It's something to keep in mind if I either come back to or never leave Ithaca (yikes!) and end up getting season tickets on that side.  :)

Luxury boxes only look that way from the outside. Although even the dumpiest luxury box keeps you dry at an outdoor sporting event. One reason there's behind-the-scenes pressure for a new Yankee Stadium is that the luxury boxes there are pretty shopworn and (to paraphrase the Catskills joke about the food) there's not enough of them.

As far as enlarging Lynah goes, if I were the athletic director, I'd want to see pent up demand for say 2,500 seats, not 500.
