Congratulations to Martin.

Let's hope we don't have to see him for more than one series....;-)

Personally, I'd like to see him torch Marty "wrap-around" Brodeur and the Stevens-less Devils...:-D

He will have to do it in the second round (at the earliest) as Tampa will have to be the Islanders (which is not as much of a given as it may seem) and New Jersey will have to beat Philly (which I don't see happening).

RichS

Yes, I realize that.  I think Tampa will turn around their regular season results against the Isles and win that series.  Too much speed and NY's goaltending is shaky for the playoffs.

Even without Stevens, I think the Devils will take Philly.   Brodeur gives them a HUGE edge over Esche and Burke.

Philly has choked in the playoffs for the past several years. NJ has the experience and goaltending necessary to win the series.

As for St. Louis, this can only be good for the ECAC. Well, at least until UVM moves to Hockey East :-(

Don't get me wrong, Brodeur is an amazing goalie... but I wouldn't say a HUGE edge if  Esche & Bruke are in the net at the same time.::rolleyes:: :-}:-P

Could they do that?[/Q]Aside from other rules, Esche couldn't wear goalie pads as a defenseman.  Would you stand in an NHL net just wearing regular skater's gear?

I assume this is an April Fool's joke a few days late.   We all know the St. Louis is too small to play in the NHL!B-]

As we saw, (I think it was the BC game?) sometimes defenders are forced to cover the goal when the goalie leaves the crease....

(Shut up with the logical serious responses :-) )

That's correct...he is too small...and so is Todd White...no less an authority (especially on goaltending ::rolleyes::)  than Bobby Clarke said so...as he "gave" Whitey to the Senators.

Anyone still wondering why Philly bombs in the playoffs annually?:-P
