With his fifth shutout of the season, McKee sets the Cornell rookie record for shutouts.  based on Greg's TBRW? statistics we have:
Dave McKee (04) -      5
Ken Dryden (67) -      4
Laing Kennedy (61) -  3
Errol McKibbon (64) -  3
John Vandermark (76) - 3

All of the above besides McKee were sophomores. Bryan hayward and LeNeveu are the two next best frosh, with 2 apiece.

Mike Hedrick 01

Very impressive.   It also speaks volumes about the development of this young defense.  (I know it was only Vermont, but 9 shots against tonight!) This team could be a force in a couple years.

I know, I know, this is probably getting old for most but and Mike, I'm not calling you out or anything...

It's just that I am still hear rumblings from friends that the current team is underperforming.  We, the eLynah crew, knew/know that the team would/will be a force in a couple of years as long as the players stick it out...this years freshman class, the '07 class, will hopefully rival the '03 class.  What we didn't know was that we'd be in a three way tie for third this late in the '04 season.  We have to keep in mind how young the team is and how well they have been performing this season considering their inexperience.

McKee has tied for third in single season shut outs among ALL Cornell goalies.  Here are the top 5 (the number after the slash is gp).

9/32 LeNeveu 2003
6/29 Dryden 1968
5/23 McKee 2004
5/18 Kennedy 1962
4/27 Dryden 1967

50% of McKee's wins have been shut outs.
