Moulson+Hynes=Paolini?

Matt and Shane combined for six regular season goals in the Big Red's two victories over Harvard in the current campaign.  Together they reminded me of Sam Paolini from last year, who had consistently risen to the Harvard occasion.

Actually, I'm assuming it'll be Moulson, with the hat trick and all.  But really, either one of them deserves it.  (Of course, we may see the Crimson again in the postseason, so who knows who'll rise to that occasion.)

Hard to say.  The two split the six goals against Harvard this year.  Maybe it will take a "tie-breaker" game in Albany--or Ithaca.;-)

If I had to pick, Moulson should get the Crimson Cup, simply because he's figured in 5 of the 6 goals against Harvard this season (3 goals, 2 assists....and was on the ice for the 6th), while Hynes "just" has the 3 goals. Charlie Cook, by the way, has 4 assists against Harvard this season.


Perhaps more importantly, we won both games :-D

Looking at the list I find it humorous that the award was discontinued in '93 and only returned after we finally beat Harvard in '96.  There wasn't too much to celebrate againt H back then.  Thank god it seems such a long time ago :-)

Does the award have to go to the goalscorers necessarily?  Not to diminish Moulson and Hynes' accomplishments, but McKee was the first Cornell goalie to shutout Harvard since 1967.  I think that's worth considering when giving out the Crimson Cup at the end of the season.

Baby: playing for the Chicago Wolves in the AHL
Bell: playing for the Shreveport Mudbugs in the ECHL ()
Mark McRae: playing for the Florence Pride in the ECHL, named to play in the ECHL all-star game, one of the Canadian finalists for the Rhodes Scholarship.
Matt McRae: retired from hockey due to concussions, working over at the Cornell Medical College in Qatar
Murray: striking fear into the hearts of AHL forwards; playing for the Cleveland Barons, recently named Barons player of the week
Paolini: playing for the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL, named ECHL rookie of the month for October maybe?, named to the ECHL all-star team.
Palahicky: modeling for the Abercrombie and Fitch catalog, trying out for American Idol, forming a Bon Jovi cover band...  Actually, I have no idea what he's up to.  Anyone?  Bueller?  Bueller?
Anyway, that's what I've heard from various sources.  God, I should be a gossip columnist.
