Just noticed this was the national game and I know there are more than a few fans of each team on the board.

I'm looking forward to it.  (Hopefully we won't be getting the St. Louis game here in DC.)  Go Rangers!

Greg Berge

Well, if you're gonna root, then: Go Islanders! ;-)

It was nice to knock off Jersey (after a 7 game winless streak against them).  Next stop: MSG, but the Isles are so problematic that they'll need some luck.

Oh, and I live out in Centreville and the Wash Post listing had NY-NY as the game.

If the Isles are problematic, what does that make the Rangers?

:-D

Let's Go Isles!

No kidding.  I long for this days when this wasn't just a rivalry, but a battle of two good teams.

Greg Berge

Hey, at least they're both .500 teams, now.  It's a start.

Greg Berge

As they are vs each other: 84-84-19.

Nedved scores on the tail end of the NYR pp, 1-0 Rangers.

Greg Berge

Mess into an empty net, 2-0 NYR.  Both goals come off Snow mistakes.

Blake scores on a ricochette off Podi's stick.  2-1.  Weird game.

Leetch-Barnaby connect in the opening minute of the second period, 3-1.

I love Brian Leetch.  What an unbelievable play.  3-1

Greg Berge

After falling behind 4-1, Isles score twice in the final 5 minutes to make it close but lose, 4-3.
