Princeton loses 3-2 to Brown. At this rate, the Tigers might need to win the ILT to get to the postseason and sitting in 6th place at 1-3-1 (and Penn still on the schedule) they might not even qualify for the ILT.

Some of the big-time sports schools are pushing for college soccer to become a two-season sport, spanning both the fall and spring semesters. Not surprisingly, according to this article in the Athletic, the Ivies are unanimously opposed.

Big soccer game at Yale this Saturday. While Cornell has clinched Ivy title and will be hosting post-season tournament, just about every other team in the league is still in the running to qualify for the league tourney. Depending upon other results, Yale might be able to clinch a berth if it beats us.

Cornell *   5-0   1.000   10-3   .769   W3
Penn      2-1-2   .600   6-3-4   .615   T1
Yale      2-1-2   .600   4-6-3   .423   W1
Dartmouth   2-2-1   .500   4-5-4   .462   L1
Harvard      2-2-1   .500   4-6-3   .423   T1
Princeton   1-3-1   .300   6-4-4   .571   L2

Always fun to ride the wave of other teams' results in RPI. Heading into tonight's action (and tomorrow's game @Yale), we are at 11. Up to 14 in the coaches' poll. The "Committee's Top 16" hasn't been updated in a few weeks so we're still on the outside looking in for the first round bye.

Big Red salvage a 1-1 tie at Yale. The teams traded penalty shots in the last 10 minutes. Cornell committed a dangerous challenge in the box defending a corner, then Yale committed a handball at the very edge of the box. Road tire didn't have much RPI impact. Down to 16.

We always seem to struggle at Yale, so take the point and get the hell out of town.

We had the run of play but for a couple of sequences. Both penalty shots were marginal. I'll take the tie though. So will Yale, who may even have qualified for the ILT depending on the late games today.

Probably need to win the Ivy for a bye, but win the Ivy and we have a decent chance of being top 8 and lined up for 2 home games.

2-1 finish with a loss to Princeton in the final might be enough for a bye but why take chances?
