Not shaping up as strong OOC

I mean so far we have SHU, who are paying us back for our visit in 24-25, and Omaha, who we're paying back for our games last year. Again, I still think Omaha is a sneaky team that would be really good in a weaker conference, they just have the misfortune of playing in the NCHC. :')

I think we'll get one or two good OOC series to make up for it, though.

We should have at least one extra game this year, plus two more  if they make a trip to Alaska. I'm curious about MSG this year. I hope they can get someone good for that one.

Was there rumours of us going up to Alaska?

Cornell has made a reciprocal trip to the home arena of most of the OOC teams that visit Lynah Rink. Since they played Alaska last season, it's possible that they will make a trip to The Last Frontier at some point. NCAA rules used to allow a team that traveled to Alaska to add two extra games to the already allowed max, to encourage teams to go up there, but I'm not sure if that still stands.

It does still stand. Whether the Ivy League allows that is a different story.

I haven't heard anything, but we owe them a visit. Whether that's this year or not, TBD. I don't see a great spot in the schedule for it - I'd have suggested the Jan 1/2 weekend, but that's likely Omaha.

I'm eagerly awaiting the Omaha announcement. I'll say this another dozen times, but for everyone who ever visits Omaha, go to the zoo.

I would think UMass will have a return visit to Lynah but maybe not this coming season since Cornell had two OOC home series last season and so I'd think they would go on the road for another OOC series to a team other than Omaha.

In (distant) past years I would be able to get the non-travel partner part of the ECAC schedule the fall before the season. And I was allowed to post it around January 1.

But with the new administration that has not been possible,

I've sent another email to see if it might have changed.

One of the guys mentioned us possibly playing Maine at MSG but he wasn't 100 sure

Note that my "count" has 29 games already, not counting exhibition or scrimmage. I truthfully can't recall how many regular season games the Ivies are allowed to play - I think we upped it to 30? Maybe? With exhibition?
