After the game in Potsdam earlier, ECAC currently has the 2nd worst OOC record without any non-exhibition games involving Ivy League schools having been played. That changes on Thursday when Harvard opens its season in Cambridge, but currently Q and Union are in the top five of NPI. After that, you have RPI at #24 with a winning record but much a lower quality win bonus. To no one's surprise, SLU and Colgate are at or near the bottom.

Quote from: Trotsky on October 21, 2026, 04:49:00 PMHarvard's Friday game against Northeastern is classified as an "exhibition." Exhibitions are, AFAIK, unlimited.   Could we play Ivies 6 ahem "exhibitions" to get ready for the season?
I don't think exhibition games are unlimited, as far as the NCAA goes.  I think they still fall within the 34 game limit.  Of course that means the Ivies technically have a bit more wiggle room in this regard, but I'd be surprised if the Ivy League also didn't put a limit on exhibitions in a season.

Exhibitions do NOT fall within the 34-game limit. All the teams that play 34 games, also play exhibitions.

But evidently we are now limited to 1 exhibition, so the Ivies have a 31-game limit including 1 exhibition.

Final NPI before the student part of student athletics joins:

  3. Union
  5. Quinnipiac
 24. RPI

Harvard wins its home opener against UMass and first game under the new coach. Somehow that warrants #2 in NPI. They play again tomorrow in Amherst

Can't beat that winning percentage.  Let's hope we follow suit.
