But as Cornell was putting the nail in Harvard's coffin on the ice, a group of students did the same off of it. A bunch of Big Red kids had painted their stomachs with "JR Sucks!", an extremely inaccurate, but humorous attack on senior netminder J.R. Prestifilippo.

Fun fact: I met JR a few years later.  A very New Jersey guy; stereax would have liked him.

He was very upbeat about his college hockey life and told me he loved playing at Lynah and said he always wished Harvard had "even a handful" of "the fans that fill your whole barn every night."

He said far and away Cornell was the entire team's favorite place to play, including at home, and that they respected Cornell and its hockey community, and thought that we were the pinnacle of what college hockey should be.

So that is nice and also fuck Harvard Let's Go Red!!!
