Quote from: ursusminor on April 03, 2026, 02:27:39 PMSorry that I originally posted the following on the wrong thread.

I just felt like doing this for RPI.

It is obvious to me that only half of this list is of comparible NHL achievement to all of Cornell's. This makes me even happier that the currently known recruit list for 2026 is IMHO significantly better than Cornell's. (I add that neither Heisenberg's list nor CHN agrees with the 8 players Coach Lang hinted at recently. CHN includes these eight but also others who are unlikely to be arriving this year or in some cases ever. The coach said that he wants to add up to four more including from the evil portal.) BTW, I did not give Neil Little any credit for all the times that the Flyers recalled him only to be the backup sieve. The advantages of having an AHL team in the same town.

1. Adam Oates
2. Daren Puppa
3. Joé Juneau
4. Mike McPhee
5. Brian Pothier
6. Brandon Pirri
7. John Carter
8. Ken Hammond
9. Kraig Nienhuis
10.. Graeme Townshend

I must stop bragging about RPI on this forum, as it often comes back to haunt me. The RPI 2026 forward recruit with the best scoring stats in the past season, Josh Evaschesen, is considering returning to the WHL. He was 67-33-40-73-35 in the regular season.

I couldn't tell if this was a joke I missed or an exaggeration - but RPI won the 1995 ECAC Tournament in Lake Placid and made it a bunch of other times. Unless you mean since the tournament returned to LP.

Yes, that is what I meant. Sorry.

Pretty sure the guys in red from left to right are Walsh, Kraft, and O'Brien. Both the guys in white look like Catalano lol

FWIW I have it on good authority that the guy in white in the stands is posting on eLynah.
"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."

Catalano has a younger brother, maybe visiting to check out Cornell.  Guy to our right of Catalano 2, looks like FFJOL.

McCrady looks like Cat, I think it's him but not 100 sure
No clue on the other one

I would've said the guy to the right of Ca2lano was a Hutson brother before FFJOL 😂 I can't see that anywhere in his face, lol.

I mean one of them is probably Cat, the other - good shout, could be McCrady? But the rest of them are all upperclassmen - not that "going to your teammate's AHL debut" is an upperclassman-only thing but, y'know, in a car full of upperclassmen be the freshman ig. The one in the hoodie you could not pay me to guess who it is.

We look forward to their transfers.

No, I am not that much of a jerk.

Gonna join in to say RPI doesn't have anyone worth poaching from last year's team LOL. Regardless, I've been told that our only departures this year aren't leaving because they want to...

So you're telling me perhaps the best Cornell NHL player in recent history stayed four years and signed his first pro deal a few months before his 25th birthday?
