Two UConn goals while I was watching hoops. I don't think it'll matter a lot but it could hurt our seeding a little, especially given how close UConn is to us in RPI. (We went into today's games one spot ahead of them.)

Under five minutes in and Harvard gets the first goal Princeton has conceded in Ivy play all year.

To be the best you gotta beat the best...

Any chance Cornell moves into the top 16 and gets a bye with a win over Princeton?

What is the selection process?

I found this page:

but don't know how to weigh what it shows.

that's what I always use for RPI because the NCAA doesn't update very often. i think it is unofficial but accurate. i also don't know how tied to RPI the selection/seeding ultimately is.

If we beat Princeton I think we are easily top 16 in RPI though. While we were beating Penn, UConn (22) beat Akron (9) and jumped up to 17.

We will almost definitely get a bye with a win. The committee also doesn't use RPI as strictly as hockey so that should favor us with our good record/weak schedule combo.

Big time game at 11 am tomorrow. If we can win this one we can beat anyone

Without doing anything since Friday, Cornell moved up to 18. I think we might get into the top 10 with a win over Princeton and might not fall out of the top 20 with a loss.

ugh. princeton scores about five minutes in. foul outside the box, friedberg made the save on the initial shot but princeton picked up the ball after it was punched away and got a second run at it. nice footwork, pass and finish.

Martin got fried and Friedberg could've had that one. Not liking our odds to score against this defense.

idk i thought Vigilante's shot was really tight to the post. some gap between could have and should have, i suppose.

Since the goal, Cornell has had most of the possession but it appears to be a choice by Princeton to lean defensive. Cornell has had an opportunity or two but nothing close to converting yet. Princeton had a counterattack that almost materialized into a breakaway and a crossbar on a subsequent possession.

Cornell also dodged a bullet on a video Red Card review. Appears that Princeton requested a review after accusing a Cornell player of spitting on a prone Princeton player after a hard (but clean) tackle.

Princeton color guy appears to be a wild homer.

Penalty review... Cornell may get a chance at the tying goal with two minutes left in the half.

Fuck. We get the penalty and Wollstein takes a terrible shot. Tried to get cute and make sure he didn't sail it but the timid approach let the goalie guess right and he smothered a fairly soft hit.

Wollstein nearly had a clean chance a minute earlier but he didn't gather a cross cleanly off his chest and the goalie got to the ball in the box before he could.

This is going to be a very tough second half.
