I fully expect us to make it to the frozen four. This team is playing with a mission
Shhhh.

I don't believe in jinxes. I'm not that powerful. If they don't make it, it won't be because of anything I did.

True, but if we've learned nothing else here in the pages of eLynah this season is the poisonous nature of high expectations.

But we'll still blame you for jinxing us.

CU2007

ESPN says the regional final is at either 4 or 6:30 on Saturday. Why would that be up in the air at this point?

CU77

ESPN wants to decide on the order of the Toledo and Fargo finals based on which teams are in them.

First goal gonna be huge Thursday, if we can score first like our chances to shut them down via tough team defense,
if we get behind a goal or two most likely no way we can come back vs. their brickwall in net...

Team scoring the first goal wins two-thirds of the time. So, yeah. https://hockey-graphs.com/2016/11/29/behind-the-numbers-scoring-first-and-conditional-probability/#:~:text=On%20average%20a%20winning%20team,any%20point%20of%20the%20game.&text=The%20winning%20team%20scoring%20first,a%20win%20percentage%20of%2067%25.

Quote from: chimpfoodYeah unfortunately the first round is always at brutal times.

I hate the new Thursday-to-Sunday regionals weekend.  Friday afternoon games were tough enough, but Thursday is ridiculous.  Plus we lost Bittersweet Saturday (six games that day; five more in the whole rest of the season).

ugarte

Firewagon in Toledo in the early game. BU committed a penalty right after tying it up.

You and me both.  It was OK, when my sister lived in Mass and we were somewhere in New England.  But if we get sent out west, it better be a destination worth visiting or I won't bother traveling.

And OSU nearly got another one.  Make that two.

scoop85

OSU retakes the lead seconds after BU ties it on the PP.

EDIT: BU then re-ties it seconds later! 3 goals scored in 42 seconds.

Speaking of the BU PP, the way they moved the puck before their 2nd goal it looked like they were playing a different sport than we've been playing all year.

I watched it three times and still couldn't tell.

Bonkers, but maybe defenders shouldn't be spectators.
