Anyone have info on what section we'll be in?

This is the link to purchase tickets:

It looks like there are lots of tickets sold everywhere but the four corners reserved for the schools that make it, and that there are no tickets sold yet in those four corners.

I think last year the Cornell ticket office provided a code or a link that would let you get tickets in the corners, but the sections aren't assigned until all of the teams have been determined.

Thanks!

I thought that could be the case.

I do remember two years ago we were able to get the code from the athletic ticket office immediately after the game on Saturday night. I don't have a memory of doing that last year.

Back when there were physical tickets, each corner was reserved for the winner of a particular quarterfinal series, but I guess now they can re-seed the tickets as well.

Good news: Sections have been assigned for in Lake Placid. Cornell is Section 16 (and I was able to buy 2 tickets).

Bad news: Looks like Section 16 is now sold out.

But there are still plenty of tickets in the Dartmouth and Quinnipiac sections and you don't seem to need a code to access tickets in the corner sections.

The map I'm looking at shows the corners still unavailable for sale. On that map, red is sold, blue is available. The corners (and upper sections seats) are all still gray.

And remember, nobody sits in their assigned seats.

Wish I could be there.

I just called the arena box office. I can confirm what Anne said about the Cornell section being section 16. The woman I spoke to said that tickets in that section would open for sale some time after noon today, and that the password will be "CORNELL25."

Also a couple of the other team corners now have seats available in half the section to be sold without the password, presumably because the powers that be recognize those schools won't need the entire section. So I'm guessing Dartmouth and Quinnipiac are likely in Sections 11 and 3, and that Clarkson is the other school they are holding the entire section--section 24--for.

I just used CORNELL25 and it opened up Sec 16. Got M 1-3.

Thanks, Jim. I wound up taking two a couple of rows in front of you.

I had been refreshing the page that showed the seats, waiting for blue seats in Section 16. Once you posted that you had seats I went back and refreshed the original link, and saw the option to select the "Cornell Fan Zone." It's only after selecting this option that you will be prompted for the password.

Also as expected, Clarkson is in section 24 and the two sections that opened tickets early were the Dartmouth and Quinnipiac sections.

I feel like we've already won.

I see now! I was misled by the fact that there were a couple of blue seats in Section 16 and by the Dartmouth/Quinnipiac situation. Well, we have tickets in the correct section, just not great seats. Should be fine, but if I'm feeling feisty later this afternoon I may call the box office to see if I can make a swap. I may be willing to play the "I'm old and easily confused by technology" card if it will help.

So if I wait until Friday to see if we win vs. Q will it be hard to get tix to final on Saturday?

I can only go up that day but is it like at Harvard where all these tix are sold but plenty of
seats will be empty at arena? Or will fans from the two schools that dont make final sell theirs?
Or just dont have to worry about it and can get tix fine for Saturday if (when) we make final?

I went in '19 when we lost final (in OT to Clarkson?) but I dont remember how far ahead bought tix that year
and also bought tix for both the sessions then...

Also, anyone planning on driving up from Boston area Sat. if we make the final, have an extra spot in car
and plan on coming back same day later that night? Thanks & LGR!

billhoward

Saturday tickets are in less demand on account some of the losing-side fans opt to head home early, or party in town.

There will be many tickets available from people who live in the Hamden area.
