Retaining Teddy for so long is one of the best things to happen to this rivalry, in my eye.
Translate?

Sucks has 5 or 6 players that are former NHLer's sons.  They always seem to recruit kids who are NHL draft picks, often because of their parentage. That's partially due to the fact that Sucks' coach is Ted Donato, himself a former NHLer.  Despite that, they seem to underperform.

Awesome game, run it back tomorrow.

Schafer, in the postgame, commended the student section for showing restraint and not throwing any additional fish beyond the pregame (for the first time in several years that I can recall), and for keeping the "vulgarity" to a minimum:

DeSantis rocked!!
Really enjoying the Kraft, Walsh, Bancroft line-they've produced quite a bit lately
Shane made some amazing saves
Glad to see Rayhill get home ice time too!
Bring on Dartmouth!!

Dartmouth lost at Colgate tonight so they'll be looking for some points. I'm 99% sure I saw their bus pull up to one of the hotels downtown so that must have been a quick game

I've been fooled before.

Saw the last minute or so of their game on E+ after our game ended, so it wasn't that quick.  Maybe they have a fast bus driver.  That would be a great advantage for THOSE road trips.

Anybody heard from Bearlover?  Marty, you're tight with him- anything?  I'm worried.  Send the cops to check on him.

A few people have tried this joke after Cornell has won, but it really falls flat. Here's a lesson on how to actually do the bit: last year when we won the ECAC and made the final 8, in my celebratory posts I repeatedly tagged blackwidow to jab them because they would actively gloat when Cornell lost. They were great forum posts by me, and many consider them some of the funniest forum posts on this site in quite some time. But your joke about me disappearing when we win falls flat because I'm extremely happy when we win.

The reason I haven't posted is because I am in Ithaca attending the games. Sorry to burst your bubble!

Great to see your advice to Mike and Casey worked so well.  How much time did it take to set them straight?

Different bus company, but now I'm sure I saw Cashman and at least a few guys with the green "D" on their either their backpacks or attire. Hamilton and Ithaca are close enough where I guess the travel partners just switch cities that same night.

That was as complete of a game as they have played at home all season.  I even appreciated that in a 4-1 game that Jack O'Brien is battling for a puck in the corner of the Harvard zone with eight seconds to go in the game.  A sixty minute effort.  Now when you score two early like that you can dictate play and they did take advantage of that.  They won most of the battles (unlike earlier in the year).  They had a shoot first mentality most of the game.  At other time they were still creative without forcing passes.  They minimized Harvard's scoring opportunities with good coverage and some key blocks (Jack O'Leary!).  Shane made the saves when he was called on to.  He had some beauties at that.  They didn't play like they were over amped for the matchup.

The Kraft goal and the second DeSantis goal were textbook drive to the net and follow your rebound.  The first DeSantis goal he did a great job looking off the pass options and taking the room he was given.  They simplified their approach and didn't try to do too much.  Even on the power play they won a face off back and Robertson got the puck toward the net right away while guys went there to create traffic.  If they continue that trend that they started last week they will keep getting rewarded for it.  They only made a couple of mistakes all game.  The Harvard goal came after they got caught up ice on a failed attempt to enter the zone.  The only other one I can recall was when they had a chance to skate to a zone clear, went back with the puck and then the group got caught in an extended shift that ended with the Kovich penalty.  Three solid league games in a row.  They are getting back to business as usual.  A regulation win tonight in a game that you always have to worry about a let down goes a long way to getting into the top four where we think they belong.
