Anyone know where the Cornell fan section will be at Lake Placid this year?

Probably hasn't been assigned yet.

They used to assign the four corners before the quarterfinals, but that was back when they had paper tickets, since the winners of the quarterfinal series could take the tickets with them.

Holy hell, the 2024 ECAC Lake Placid emblem does not look like shit.

This is the first design element created since 1989 that I can remember that doesn't look it was created by and for imbeciles.

Last year the ticket office had a code available after the game that allowed us to purchase tickets in the Cornell section, and at a small discount. When I asked about that code tonight they said they did not have it yet, but would publish it and probably send it out via email as soon as they have it.

I can't even find a spot on the Lake Placid website to enter a code. I think last year it was "Cornell", or something equally hard to guess. If someone figures out where on the website to enter a code before seat selection, please post here.

Be nice to know out which goal Cornell attacks first and third in case you want your seats there (or the goal Cornell defends if you prefer defense). We will be the home team / white sweaters for the Friday game and if we advance, away team / red sweaters Saturday if Quinnipiac also advances. [edit add:] Based on last year, the home team attacks the non-Zamboni end goal twice (sections 1 /26).

The chart is the Lake Placid Herb Brooks Arena (the 7700-seat big one) seating chart. The cutout at left is the Zamboni door (sections 13/14)  and that is at the back end of the rink if you visualize the opposite end (sections 1/26) as the end closer to Main Street and Mirror Lake. The bottom would be the side nearest the high school/skating oval. (The TV cameras shoot toward the benches.)

On the arena site for buying tickets, it shows the majority of tickets are taken or sold but I think that means they may have been set aside. I don't recall a time when you couldn't get tickets. And a lot of fans will leave after game one (Q vs. SLU).

FWIW, I bought tix in section 22.  But I fully expect to sit in or near the Cornell section, wherever it is.

Just get into the rink, and figure it out from there.

This.  The weekend is going to be 90% Q and Cornell fans.  The Q fans are going to leave after their game to either celebrate or slink back to Toilet-on-the-Connecticut.

We will have a half empty building to ourselves.

Advice: if you come without tickets get there early because LP has yet to get their shit together at the walkup office, and the lines get long. You'll get in but you don't want to miss the whole first period.

Incidentally, this particular combination of four teams has never before been in the ECAC semis, Lake Placid or not. Q's history in the conference may be relatively brief, but it's also already twenty years.

TBRW is missing Yale in 1986, Greg.

1985 has 5 teams. Probably the source of the 1986 error.

Fixed, thank you.
