I can't argue with that.

First ever ECAC shootout win for the Big Red in six tries (they won one against AIC last year)
If I may.

Quote from: dag14I now live in Denver so I have to rely on what the camera shows but I was in Lynah for almost every home game until 2018.  My comment was merely a reaction to the announcer's characterization of the attendance, not a judgement.  People show up late.  Now in the second period, most of those empty seats are gone.

Here is a link to Ned Dykes' photos of the second UMD game. Draw your own conclusions as to how full the rink was.

We were due for some bad luck but wow, how do we not score on any of those odd-man rushes, including the 2x0? We didn't come remotely close to executing on any of them. Dartmouth actually looked solid, but Cornell should have scored at least four goals. Also unclear what happened on the first Dartmouth goal, which came on a run of the mill slapshot from the blue line off a faceoff. Shane was slow to react or possibly just missed it. I didn't see any Dartmouth players near the crease to block his line of sight. Shane honestly just didn't seem locked in by the time the puck dropped.

Quote from: IcebergAnd given the appearance of the league this year, I could see Dartmouth being in the running for a bye if things go their way. They don't play in Hanover again for a while (tonight was the first of seven consecutive away games), but they should at least be hosting a round in the playoffs

3 ECAC teams remain without a conference regulation loss: Cornell, Q, and Dartmouth.

They may not suck.

I'm wondering if actually the shot hit the stick of the Cornell player who came up to the blue line to pressure the shooter.

I had a great view of the shot from my seat and it looked like an untouched, un screened shot, Shane should've had it.

Schafer said in his postgame interview the shot "hit something in front," so perhaps it did.

On the broadcast, it definitely looked like the shot changed direction and went higher than Shane expected it to. I thought it hit a Dartmouth player's stick but maybe not. It certainly wasn't clean

Don't know much about them but they are apparently shooting their college hockey game day series at lynah tonight. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZi1hKNz0rSL83R3VeQWFTTTZtYx2PKnf&si=LYrYyERQw4n9JZHB

It is linked on the schedule which is great and I hope they continue that.

Not only was it great to see a full building last night, but from the comfort of my couch I thought the crowd was as loud as I've heard it lately for a non-Harvard game.
