Quote from: Al DeFlorioNeed another comeback today.  Brown 4-2 late second period.

I heard the annoying Brown announcer say something about Cornell being short some of their key players, and I havent seen O'Neill, Bourbenais or Hart—any idea why they're out?

4 Nations Cup with Team Canada

Ok, thanks.  And despite their absence, no way we should've lost that game.  Up 2-1 we had numerous chances on the PP, but (like the men last night) couldn't bury them.  And Boissenault was not on her game all weekend.

Forgot about 4 Nations.  Explains a lot.  I mute the stream to avoid the annoying announcers but that also means I miss some information worth knowing.

Cornell women win over St. Lawrence 4-0 (TY Al, my bad) last night.-

They play Clarkson at 3 PM this afternoon - at Lynah - show up in first 500 and get a free t-shirt.   Cider and doughnuts and tailgating for hours prior to game.
- Lou (Swarthmore MotherPucker 69-74, Stowe Slugs78-82, Hanover Storm Kings 83-85...) Big Red Fan since the 70's

3-1 win this afternoon with an ENG!
"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."

Really impressive 4 point weekend for the Red! To my eyes, they've definitely stepped their performances up a notch. Against St. Lawrence, it was a tactical masterclass. They managed to play an aggressive forecheck all game long without conceding too many good chances the other way. Boissonault looked really solid in net, but wasn't called upon especially often thanks to great defending. Against two of the best teams perennially in the league, the Red earned clearcut and decisive victories. The Lynah crowd is starting to show up for the women more now (attendance has risen after each home game so far), and at this rate I think they'll draw over 1000 a bunch of times in the next semester. Looking positive going into the break period!

Watching today's game against Princeton (we're down 1-0 in he 1st period). The guy doing the PBP on ESPN+ is, to put it mildly, "low energy"

Final was 5-0 for Princeton.  Princeton played very fast and had a potent fore-check going. Cornell did not play as well as we are capable of (mild understatement!).

I hope we get another shot at them in playoffs!

Princeton looked fast and skilled.  We'll need to play much better to beat them next time.

Women shut out Dartmouth 3-0.

Defeated Harvard 6-0, with a hat trick and short handed goal. The one Cornell trumpeter at the game got a workout.
