Section 324 Row 5.  Can't wait!

Jeff Hopkins \'82

Section 300, row 5.

I'll be with three other non-Cornellians, one of whom is an SLU(t) grad who'll hopefully be supporting a fellow ECAC school.

111, row 22, 1, 2, 3 or 4, although I'm thinking that if we shoot the other way, I might try to trade just before the game with a UNH fan for equal and opposite seats.

Yes.  I haven't really been able to mingle much at the games I have gone to this year.

Steve R 02

Section 300, Row 4, Seats 13 and 14!!!!!  (as long as they actually arrive in the mail!)

Research has been keeping me from migrating north to catch a game in person this year, but there's no way I could let this one slip by!

How I'm going to function normally until the 10th, I don't know...

actually at present i am questionable as my supervisor just informed me that my vacation request might not be approved due to a previously unscheduled customer visit. will find out by the end of the day. please everyone reading this send happy thoughts my way as i can't imagine not being there. if it turns out to be a no i might pull out the crying card ... perhaps the one advantage in working with a lab full of guys. if it a no my boss is up for a fight cause i've already made plans, boutght tix, etc and last minute scheduling shouldn't affect previously requested vacation time.  i normally just go with the flow, never causing problems but this would be my one exception. i've been waiting 5 or 6 yrs for this ... yeah not as long as a bunch of you others but long enough. this freakin sucks. sucks. sucks.

I'd delay graduation from med school if they told me I couldn't go.

Fortunately, that's not the case.  Sec 112, row 30, seat 20 (+ 2 Cornell friends right next to me).

Hey, one more question...what are people doing for last minute lodging?  Obviously all the downtown hotels are booked.  Is there some suburban place where a lot of folks are finding rooms?  Are people staying by the airport?  I really don't know the area so I'm not sure where to book a room.

Also, what's the public transportation like?  Seeing as I've already dropped a fair amount of cash on airfare, I'm hoping to avoid renting a car.

Lastly (I promise, last thing!) are there any kind folks who could drive me and my friend to Syracuse on Sunday for our return flight?  If we do end up renting a car, I really don't want to pay the change of location fee.   I would be happy to supply some nice CA wine as payment..... :-)

There is a metro rail line (essentially a trolley or light railthat runs from the SUNY Buffalo South Campus to the HSBC Arena through downtown, and the city usually schedules trains to handle the large crowds for events at the arena.  There are also bus lines that run out to the suburbs.

As for hotels, Amherst is a nice suburb near the colleges, and they have hotels there.  Cheektowaga is near the airport, and also should have hotels.

Try this page for accomodation and transportation info, including public transportation maps: http://www.visitbuffaloniagara.com/accommodations_ncaa.html

Buffalo Tourism has also set up this site for the Frozen Four, complete with cheezy flash intro: http://www.centericecrewbuffalo.com/
It sure is great to see our logos.  Huggy bear or not.

Check out http://www.nfta.com/metro/ for public transportation.

nevermind. All is good. Turned out to be a retaliation prank for the awesome one that I pulled on my supervisor yesterday. I am very impressed cause I fell and fell hard for it. It'd be still going on had I not been so visably upset and teary eyed! :`( :-D

Lisa McGill

Holy cow, that is the meanest yet funniest prank I've heard of in a long time.  Poor Melissa.

By the grace of FedEx, John B and I will be there.  A week early and I've already started with the excited fidgeting...

[Q] Hey, one more question...what are people doing for last minute lodging? Obviously all the downtown hotels are booked. Is there some suburban place where a lot of folks are finding rooms? Are people staying by the airport? I really don't know the area so I'm not sure where to book a room.
[/Q]   I got a room at the Comfort Inn in Fort Erie, ONT today.  $65 in play money.  Er, Canadian dollars.  http://www3.choicehotels.com/ires/en-US/html/ChoiceHome?sid=xua2M.216P05Ypc.1

The hotel is right across the border.  10 minutes from the arena, plus the time it takes for the cavity search.  ::yark::

I also reserved a car at Enterprise, and the weekend rates were reasonable. ~$35 - $45, depending on the size car you want.

It wasn't even the first of April!!??

Hope to see you there!  It was nice to meet you in Providence.

I will be there with Janice, my wife (and companion at the game vs. MSU)  and Anne, my daughter who will be playing hooky for hockey.

We are in section 309.
"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."

Robb Newman

I'm there, but I don't know where my ticket is yet.  Quinn?
