I chose those threads b/c I thought they moronic. granted there are other moronic threads out there but I just picked those 2. Lots of sensitive posters on this thread. boo-hoo.

Well, now I see why all of Hockey East hates UNH fans.

can we just call what he's doing to be woofing for unh and let him keep going? i've got no problems if unh fans want to woof woof woof all day long.

generally don't like to feed the trolls but hey, if they wanna tell us we stand no chance....

Funny, I don't see the discussion of a player's injury as a moronic discussion.  Considering that most of it is in favor of the player and no one ever said anything remotely close to "I hope he doesn't return in time to play us" - stating the likeliness that he will return - I don't even see how this thread can even be close to considered moronic.  It only turned that way when #3 ("guy") started posting on it.  Although we respect your opinion, why don't you just leave it at that and not add more things to this thread that make you look like a 3rd grader.

"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."

judy, judy, judy...

a) not from UNH. just have the ability to think for myself and don't believe in blind faith.

b) think we have a good chance to beat UNH. just thought we should've beaten BC by a wider margin.

c) don't believe personal attacks. so far, there have been no responses to address the points I raise. instead, there have been numerous ignorant assumptions.

d) I know 'dick betts' and he is a poser. maybe I shouldn't have brought on this thread as it may contradict my personal attack stance. won't happen again.

It's time like this that we miss Yo Momma and the Davey Francis tribute threads.

#3 may not be a poser, but on the other hand at least he's an idiot.

Looks like it's basically official: No Gare for UNH tomorrow.

http://www.boston.com/dailynews/099/sports/New_Hampshire_s_leading_scorer:.shtml

Just a little info - he only scored 3 goals in his last 12 games, and none in his last five. Those 3 goals came against powerhouses Northeastern (1) and Lowell (2). No goals in 4 games this year vs. BU either.

I don't care too much about those stats. It is more the type of player that he is that scares me. He is not only fast, but physical enough to beat CU in the corners. It will be a huge loss for UNH.

And in a zero sum game, that means. . . (fingers crossed, knocking on wood, etc.)

Sounds like Mr. Gare might have had some nagging injuries down the stretch.  Whether they were related or not to this more major injury, it doesn't matter much.  I agree totally with Grant...it's a loss for UNH because of the type of player he is.

It's never good to route for injuries, especially in college when kids have bright futures ahead of them, so here's hoping that Gare makes a full recovery....on Monday.

And from an INCH ::rolleyes::  article about Gare:

Approximately an hour after Gare's announcement, Cornell's Doug Murray called it a bluff. He was practicing at the time of the UNH conference and hadn't heard the latest injury update.

"Personally, I don't think they'll be without Lanny Gare. It's playoff time and you get out on the ice and play hurt or not."

Good to see Cornell is preparing for a full "UHN" squad.
