Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had a tape of the game that was decent quality.  Apparently, our section (310) was prominently featured in the crowd shots of the post-game celebration.  I would be willing to pay for the tape and the shipping if someone could make me a copy...  Email me at cmn1@cornell.edu or post to the thread and I'll get in touch.

Thanks,

Cabot

Ditto. Didn't tell TiVo to go long enough. I guess I'm specifically looking for the last 30 or 45 minutes.

Add me to the list of folks that didn't catch the rebroadcast in time, but want a copy of the game.

I have the game from the second period on, due to VCR issues.  I don't have two VCR's but can probably arrange something if no one else can help.  So, I'm a good second option and would be happy to help out.  Drop me a note on e-mail if you are interested.  My coverage starts with some first period highlights, including Vesce's goal and a BC player going full speed into Murray only to be knocked on his a**

I take it there won't be DVD's for your friends, then? :`(

Well, the first step is getting the whole game. Obviously, with the best quality recording possible. We'll see what turns up.

Well, I have a tivo file of it, but it's only Basic Quality (i.e. definitely MPEG artifacts) and it's missing about half the third period including the disallowed goal because, well, in syndication they cut out those 10 minutes to make the game fit in a 3 hour block. It also has essentially no post-game. Goes goal, one reaction shot, hair regrowth infomercial.

I can make a tape if you're still interested, but I hope someone else did better.

I have the tape delay broadcast of the game on fox sports net. It is the entire game with the in between period talking cut off due to time constraints. But the entire game is on there. I can make a copy with two vcr's but don't know how good quality it is. Let me know if anyone wants one.

I have a tape with both of the weekend games on it - MSUM with commercials and intermission stuff and BC without the intermissions or commercials.  I can't make copies, but I'm more than willing to drop it off to Age and let him make copies.

Age - e-mail me direct if you are interested

OK. Just checked my TiVo. I've got the whole MSU game and I'm only missing the second OT and about 5 min of the preceeding intermission and whatever's after the goal. I'd certainly like to get a good quality version of the missing stuff, preferably with post-game stuff. I'll wait a bit longer and see if anyone else has it then decide what's the best bet. Thanks.

REDhead

Age, I watched the Time Warner broadcast (what there was of it). After they blanked most of the first period the picture came back on but it was so white on the long camera shots that you couldn't see the lines on the ice, and our white uniforms kind of bled into the ice so it looked like ghosts out there, disembodied red numbers & helmets skating around. The close-up camera shots were more clear, but all in all it wasn't worth taping....There really was not any postgame stuff on the original broadcast. After the goal, they showed the team celebrating, stayed for the stick salute, and then put up a "stay tuned for ESPN press conference" and that was it. I used my new Time Warner DVR to record the replay on Fox at 3:30 (which was a much better picture) and you're welcome to a tape of that if it will be useful!

Robb Newman

Don't worry about the postgame - there really wasn't any, because they immediately cut away to go to the Michigan/CC game already in progress.

I have all but about 3 minutes of the 3rd period (including when Matti dropped the puck to himself and then whiffed on it.  darn that was close!), but it's in Texas and I only have one VCR....

RedAR

I have the entire games from this weekend.  I had to record them at extended play, just in case there were any OT's (thank god).

So, while the quality is decent for basic watching, I don't think it'll be good enough for any DVD production.

In anycase, I have the tape, but I don't have a second VCR.

As a last ditch resort, you can contact me, and I may be able to figure out a way to make a copy of it.

I had some TiVo issues of my own  ::nut:: , so I have the whole BC game (original broadcast), minus the first 11 minutes of the first period and, thus, the Vesce goal.  Last night I finally figured out the "save to VCR" thing on TiVo, though, and copied the ECAC Final to a T-160 tape on SP speed, and it came out very well (approx. running time 2:20, with pre-and post-game and no intermissions or commercials, if anyone wants a copy).

So I can record the overtime footage from the BC game and send it out to Age if he wants to add it to the regulation footage.  Or, if I'm correct in assuming that we'd rather have the clearest footage possible for the overtime coverage, if Age or someone else could just send me the first period in full, I could transfer the game from the second period through overtime directly from the digital feed.  I have two VCRs, so I can cut out intermissions/commercials, unless people would rather have the intermission reports.

I would like to get my hands on a copy of the Mankato game, too, if possible... :-D

Yeah, I got screwed when FoxSportsNY showed the BC-CU game on tape delay at 8 pm instead of 3:30 pm as originally scheduled in every tv guide I could find online.  So my VCR that I set got the CC-Mich game joined in progress instead.  Grrr.

Add me to the list.
