Sure, but is Potsdam/Canton any better?
Weirdly enough, it is.  It's still considered a very cool college hockey experience to go to the North Country.  Cheel sucked a lot of the life out of it, but it still persists.

Oh, I agree. (And I got to see Walker once, too. What a barn!) But I doubt the western teams care about ECAC history and culture.

Credit where credit is due, in the last decade, I seem to remember North Dakota visiting a good chunk of the ECAC schools.

Not a galloping shock that they would be more interested in reciprocal deals than other huge western hockey-factory schools, given that they're pretty damn isolated themselves.

Grand Forks is right on the Minnesota border. They're not any more isolated than any of the Minnesota schools.

If you say so. Being only a two-hour drive from Bemidji doesn't exactly scream "convenient" to me.

That's fine, but then you have to admit what being a three-hour drive from Schenectady/Troy looks like to them, which is one of our shorter road-trips. By the time Hawks fans are settling down for pre-game drinks in Duluth, Ithacans heading to the Harvard game are wondering where the next rest stop on the Mass Pike is.

I ADMIT NOTHING

Well, okay.

Real.

billhoward

Yes, real, Cornell vs. Harvard twice in a week. The MSG game is non-league, doesn't count toward the Ivy title.

Since I just wasted my time looking at all of the WCHA schedules to see if RPI is listed :-( , I can report that Cornell is at NMU on 11/9 and 11/10. Click the Northern Michigan link at http://www.wcha.com/men/pres1718/201805/may9wcm.php.

Fun!

Think that means we'll be playing them in Tempe in 2019-20? I'd seriously consider making that trip.
