Cornell Lightweight 8 finishes second in field of 16 at Head of the Charles.  If you haven't yet voted for Chris Kerber as USRowing Collegiate Coach of the Year, please do so.  After falling behind by over 100 votes, he again has a slim lead and today is the last day to vote.  CAST YOUR VOTE NOW.

At the time of this post, Dreck Tech's Paul Savell is leading by 43 votes.

The final tally is in and Chris Kerber lost to Paul Savell by just over 100 votes (out of over 5000 votes cast).  While I don't want to see our Athletic Department shamelessly hype our students and coaches for awards (e.g., Notre Dame's infamous "Theisman as in Heisman" campaign), it wouldn't have hurt if Andy Noel had sent an email to the over eight thousand financial supporters of Cornell athletics alerting them about the vote.
