Some of it still hurts, but read it anyway!

I was too.  FWIW, it was the second best game I've ever seen.

Thanks for the link.  I really enjoyed reading Topher's perspective of actually playing in a game like that.  And what a well-written narrative.

Lemme guess on the best. May 4th/5th, 2000 Game 4 in Pittsburgh? Cause nothing can beat that for me.

oh man i just watched the replay of the goal and wow was that a terrible clear attempt. i didn't remember it that way - i thought it was on the rush.

meanwhile, my wife was so pissed off at me that night - i was supposed to meet her at a party and, well, triple overtime ...

This is why I hate 4x4 for matching minors.

Was a long ride back to central nj from ship of fools in manhattan.

Still remember the Bitz crossbar in the 2nd OT

Elliot made a save on someone towards the end of regulation (I think?  maybe the end of the 1st OT) that was about as good a save as I've seen in my life.  He was on his side and kinda flipped upside-downish to get his legs up high.

cth95

Yeah.  I thought we had it there.  Seemingly wide open net and Elliott threw his leg up in the air while laying on his side or something like that to make the pad save 2-3 feet off the ice.

Because it's still such a great image:

I was five minutes late to my own hockey game.  Which wouldn't have been a big deal if I wasn't the goalie.

We were watching in my now wife's Collegetown apartment with her roommates. I repositioned on the couch and accidentally sat on the remote. The channel changed, and when we quickly changed it back, Wisconsin was celebrating.

So it's all your fault!
