Lax is now 0-5, with 4 blowout losses.  Football went 2-5 in the Ivies, & has won a total of 6 league games in 4 years.  Basketball, trying to rebuild after Bill Courtney lost 2/3 of his games during his 6-year tenure, went 4-10 in the Ivies. Sad.  How did we get to this position?  Discuss amongst yourselves.

Lack of commitment and support from the President to the Trustees is a good starting point.  Poor choices in head coaches is next. Let's see if they can build that indoor practice facility once the new President takes office.  That would go a long ways to showing whether they care about those varsity sports as it would be a huge step.

Aside from the indoor facility, what is the lack of support that you see.

Some examples of lack of funding:

Cornell has only been able to afford 8 assistant football coaches on their staff over the last 7 years, while every other Ivy school has 9 assistant coaches on their staffs.

I wasn't aware that Tech was over budget.  Where is that information available?

I would also like to know about this, granted, in the long list of things I would be upset about going over budget on, the Tech Campus would be dead last.

Lax has now lost 8 of its last 9 Ivy games.  Hard to believe

lax blows another late lead after playing pretty well for much of the game.

Dartmouth next for lax. If Cornell loses, Schoellkopf will collapse into a black hole of Red angst that swallows the earth.

Johnny, while the sentiment of your post makes me sad, it's undoubtedly true, and the picture is well put together, nice work.

Thank you a bunch.
From Ed Marinaro, Richie Moran's "dynasty", NCAA tournament b'ball to today's situation. Sad.
I understand that the primary function of an educational institution is to educate.
But, if other elite schools can be competitive athletically, I don't understand why Cornell, with such a rich athletic heritage, can't/won't.

Is it the "PRoI" effect?!
