Just got a note from Asst. Coach Ben Syer - tonight's game is on ESPN3. Here's the link:

(Edit to add: The ESPN app seems to believe Cornell vs. Q is tomorrow night. It's on the Cornell men's hockey schedule for tonight, and on the ESPN website for tonight, but on the ESPN app for tomorrow night. Really not sure what the deal is. Trying to figure it out now - may just have to stream from the website instead of the app.)

Found the link for the stream on the app, but it's still in "Your Event Is About to Begin" mode. Anybody getting the stream on ESPN3?

Never mind - it's running, but appears to be quite a long way behind, since the stands are nearly empty. (Or it was a prerecorded intro, and the game will start in a moment. I'm being patient.)

Is anyone else having issues with the WHCU feed? I'm getting nothing but a political discussion and have to use the local QU feed from Hamden instead.

Whcu radio does not have the game on the air, as of 15:00 of the first

Empty stands? I believe Jason and Tony taped the intro for the video version well before gametime, thus no one in the stands.

The ESPN3 stream, same one as the ILDN, was running about 2 minutes ahead. Minutes not seconds.

As someone attended the game, I can say the there was a LOT of empty seats, any time I looked, during the game....     Very disappointing giving the fact that we had a national powerhouse (Q) playing here.    The possibility of beating a team of that stature should have been interesting to even the most casual hockey fan in town/on campus....

Actually the crowd was reasonable, considering that fall break started for both CU & IC.

not sure the fall break had much to do with the empty seats on the townie side.. i think sales are way down.

First game at Lynah tonight in about 5 years. I thought it was an energetic crowd, and the place seemed 85-90% full.

I guess we should stop wishing for 2003 levels of energy and start hoping for 2009 levels, when at least the rink was ~100% full (I wasn't really around before that timeframe).

As far as I know there's no break going on right now...The students should be there until Wednesday when the Thanksgiving recess starts. Some people always leave earlier but I would expect there to be a decent showing of students anyway. Home games before this break are nothing new.

Not sure what you mean about the band.

I hear that the Tuba song changed because the old song--"Swanee River"--was objectionable, and less than politically correct.

I'm pretty sure the cowbell guy has been a cowbell gal the last few years. There was no cowbell Friday night, so I guess one of the drummers in the band attempted it on a drum. Saturday night the cowbell was back, though I couldn't see who was playing it from my seat near the D aisle of Section C.
