So USCHO's predictions don't sway from putting us in Worcester.
Their ticket office is open for in-person ticket sales right at this moment and maybe for another 15 minutes.

The problem is that I can't get anyone on the line to tell me where the #1 seed fan section will be sitting even if I wanted to go through TicketMa$ter.

Travelling 8000 miles to Worcester right now is not an option.

Thoughts?

Wait till Monday, they aren't going to sell out today. Anybody got a smile for praying? I also could have used it last night. ::nut::

I could wait, but seeing as how it's going to be one heckuva long trip to Worcester, and last year I was in the nosebleeds (right next to the UHN girls) until sneaking/squooshing into the lower sections, I'd really really love to get better seats.

Also, we should allow for the remote possibility that the committee will decide Providence and Worcester are effectively equidistant from Ithaca.  I think the matchups are more interesting if we go to Worcester and UHN to Providence, so I'm not sure why they'd send us to Providence even if it were an option.  With Cornell and BU in Worcester and UHN and Maine in Providence, things should be okay on the attendance front.

Last year I was officially about 5 rows up the upper deck behind the goal.  That said, after watching the Maine/Harvard game from there, I moved down to the lower deck and sat (stood, actually) with the Cornell section.

Don't worry about your seat.  With two fewer teams, they're unlikely to have a sellout, and nobody cares about seating anyway.

The difference is that not all the fans in the faithful section are so accomodating or understanding (or Red!) as to allow alien invaders, leading to, as I recall, a couple of near misses for ticket-checks.
But then again, y'all are probably right about waiting for it.

I thought about the possibility of us going to Providence, too.

They may want to give Cornell the 6 seed versus the 5 seed (OK, the 2B versus the 2A), especially if they don't make Ohio State a 4 seed.

Or, since Cornell has already played BU and Maine, maybe they find a way to send Maine out west and leave BC east to play us (a 1-8 pairing).

Or...

Oh hell, it's only 4 hours to wait.

I am personally hoping for providence so i don't have to take time off work yet again. a lot of others are in the same situation. this would make it easier to take 2 days off in three weeks - if need be (please, hockey gods, help us get to Buffalo!)

I need us to be in Providence too.  I plan on being in Boston next Saturday, and would love to see us play the Sunday noon game in Providence (provided we get past Mercyhurst or Wayne State in the opener).

Not sure I can make it to the Worcester Saturday game.

Gee,
Darn good thing I didn't jump the gun on those tixx.  Should even have bet AGAINST going to Worcester, knowing the track record the committee has with placing us.
C U ALL THERE.
LET'S GO RED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, some of us can't afford to go to Providence...
