Quote from: TrotskyI think they call that a "message."

At the end of the pre-season, there was a lot of chatter on Senators fan sites and blogs about Greening being placed on waivers or traded, but nothing of that nature has happened yet. Hopefully Colin will at least get a chance in the lineup in the next game or two.

And on that note, it looks like Greening will play his first game of the season tonight:

TOI 11:29, barely edging out Chris Neil, who had 11:17, for least time on the ice.  One shot.  4 hits, tied with three others for second place on the team tonight.

NBC Sports is broadcasting a battle of the winless tonight, as Riley Nash and the Hurricanes take on Matt Moulson and the Sabres.

sah67

Riley Nash pots his 1st of the season to tie things at 1 in the 2nd period.

This article about Ferlin also is good PR for Schafer and Cornell program. It's also a good argument for our continuing participation in the Florida tournament!

Trotsky

That's a good piece.  I hope Ferlin talks up Cornell when he visits friends in FL.  We really need to get a guy on a FL team, too.

It's not Scrivens.  Or.  Maybe it's Scrivens, but it's also the Oilers.

This is not how you play defense:

It's the system, or lack thereof...

I thought Riley Nash looked pretty good for the Hurricanes against the Rangers last night.  He seemed to be getting a lot of minutes late in the tied third period and into overtime, and won 71% of his faceoffs (though just about everyone on Carolina was dominating the Rangers on faceoffs).

It is weird rooting for Dominic Moore, Lee Stempniak, Tanner Glass and Marty St. Louis, and against Riley Nash.

the MSG commentators mentioned his name quite a few times and also made sure to note what a really good game he was having.

This is good to hear; he was nearly invisible against the Isles.
