Brian Ferlin got recalled from Providence, so who knows, maybe he'll play for Boston to start the season.

The B's have a bazillion injuries, correct?  Go Ferlin!

Ouch.

He's not in the lineup for the season-opener against Philly tonight:

Nor listed as a scratch.

Before 2007, in Limbo was a possibility for Ferlin.

Bobby Robbins, who toiled 9 years in the minors, played his first NHL game for the B's last night.  Nice story.  Craig Cunningham, another rookie, played in just his 3rd NHL game.  I would think that the B's are going to give some of these young guys, including Ferlin, a few games each to see who has NHL mojo.

Always great watching the Flyers lose.....

During the broadcast his name was mentioned.  They said he was being used in some sort of cap limit trick built around injuries of senior players.  I don;t know the details, but it sounds like he'll be moved back and forth between Boston and Providence with no chance of playing time in the bigs.

Does anyone know what is up with Colin Greening? He was not in the line-up for last night's game v. the Predators (at least according to the box score on nhl.com).

Ben Scrivens had a rough night in the Oilers 5-2 loss to Calgary.

Trotsky

Dunno about Colin, but he did have a puff piece written about him 2 days ago.

Greening was a healthy scratch

"Head coach Paul MacLean says the three healthy scratches know where they stand.  'Yesterday we had extensive conversations...at this point in time we can only play 20 guys,' MacLean said. 'Based on how training camp went, the best 20 players are in the lineup tonight.'"
