Falk is an interesting story.  Super prospect as a Soph with an offer to Florida State (and others), he transfers from his Utah school to a California high school power.  But he struggles in California, losing his starting gig and his big time offers.  Goes back home and puts up huge numbers.

ESPN has this class as the #10 class in I-AA. Unfortunately, Harvard is #3 (4 x *** compared to our 1), Dartmouth #5, and Yale #9. (Penn is #11.) Yale has a small group but has the highest-rated Ivy recruit, Victor Egu (****), who had offers from the likes of Notre Dame, Nebraska, and about half the Pac-12.

But, the ESPN list is obviously incomplete. No doubt they're busy updating the list after signing day.

Given the coaching staff change, I think Cornell did pretty well. I'm looking forward to the official coaching staff announcement on the new assistant coaches.

Thanks for putting this together. Some of the recruits played for big crowds in high school. Speaking of adjustments to college life. If only every game drew like Homecoming.

Agreed, Columbia is #61, and Brown's not even on the list of the top 81.

That rating is way too premature based on the small number of announced recruits, so I wouldn't put any weight into that. On the Ivy League Sports Board, the feeling is Yale-Harvard-Penn brought in the top classes based on the ratings services Scout and Rivals.  Yet, Brown still has won a ton of Ivy games based on the development of their less than highly touted recruits over the years.  Hopefully, Cornell's new coaching staff will do just as well developing their recruit class.

Is there a football equivalent of dump-and-chase to keep up with quicker teams?

Yep.  Quick-kick on third and long, then have coverage force the turnover.  :-D
"Yo Paulie - I don't see no crowd gathering 'round you neither."

You need Walt Harris as your coach to perfect that strategy.
