Sunday's Devils broadcast of the Devils-Islanders (scoreless for 56:05 then 3-0 Devils final, Matt Moulson +/-0), there was a mention that Moulson was drafted 263rd in 2003 and only 16 or 17 players drafted higher have scored more from that class.

He's 18th in terms of goals scored and 28th in terms of total points for the 2003 draft.  Those ahead of him have played far more games as well.  2003 NHL Draft

You can click on goals or points at the top of the page to sort.......Stempniak and Pavelski also are nice "value" picks from the 2003 draft.

The best part of this list is looking for Hugh Jessiman.

Is goalie David McKee still playing? A year ago he spent time with Quad Cities and Peoria.

His HockeyDB page doesn't list a current team and he doesn't show up as on anyone's roster in the AHL, ECHL, or CHL.  He might be playing in Europe; the HockeyDB player pages don't get updated as regularly for guys playing over there.

Ben Scrivens and the Leafs beat the Caps in Washington tonight, 3-2.

Scrivens gave up 2 goals, both on the PK, against 26 shots in the win.

I guess his GAA is better 5 on 5 than PK.:-D

And here I thought we'd have a day of reconciliation.  ;)

ECAC Alumni: Tim Thomas traded to Islanders.  Mostly for cap space from the Bruins' standpoint.  Probably still won't play this year.

Probably won't play in the upcoming winter Olympics either, though he might disagree on that part. ;)

Brendon Nash Tweet: In their third AHL season, brothers Riley and Brendon Nash are finally set to go head-to-head for first time. Story: http://gocheckers.com/news/checkers/?article_id=1352

Quote from: Charlotte CheckersEven though they've spent the past three seasons in the same league, brothers Riley and Brendon Nash weren't sure they would ever get the opportunity they'll get this weekend.

For the first time, the two will go head-to-head when Brendon's San Antonio Rampage visit Riley's Checkers for games on Saturday and Sunday [2/10, 2/11]. Those meetings will not only mark the first time they've crossed paths in the AHL, but the first time they've played a competitive game against each other at any level.

It will be completely new experience for the two, who are much more accustomed to playing together, as they did for three seasons at Cornell University from 2007 to 2010.
