Notes:

-We're up to #2 in the USCHO poll (two first-place votes) and the Pairwise after Minnesota won in a shootout against lowly Bemidji State on Saturday.

-Harvard and Dartmouth are 9th and 10th in the poll after losing to us this weekend.

-Mazz's win on Saturday made her the winningest goaltender in Cornell history, with 48 victories.

Victoria Pittens of the Whitby Junior Wolves/Team Ontario Red can be added to Cornell's recruiting list for next year.  She was one of the top scorers for the top ontario team for the canadian u-18 championship.  Looks to be a solid addition.

FYI... Redcast audio tonight of the Women at St Lawrence.

Just tuned in, so I don't have a score, but Cornell just killed off a penalty.

Ah, 1-0 Cornell, about 7 min left in the 1st.

Ben

Honey Badger had the first goal, Johnston scored the second. Mazz just got pulled with a few minutes left in the first...another injury, I guess.

collision in front of the goal that involved Mazz.  No details although she skated off under her own power.

dag14

Mazz does not start the second period.  I am watching and listening to the SLU feed so no info on her status.

Ben

Rodge makes it 3-0 on the PP, just over 3 minutes into the second period.

6-4 final. Phew. Six points ahead of Q with one game in hand.

Good win against a very solid St. Lawrence squad.  We looked very strong defensively and offensively for the first period and a half, but seemed to lose steam somewhere in the middle of the second period.

Rita

fyi.... redcast audio of the women v. Clarkson. Game just started, no score. If I heard correctly, Mazzato (sp) is not in net. Cornell going on the pp.

Al DeFlorio

Still scoreless late first. Outshot 8-4 so far.VT
