John Sabo (10 goals, 12 assists) of BU is potentially in pretty big trouble:

Just what the Terriers needed....

Not cheery news for BU fans. And without Freddy Meyer (the Hack for those of you scoring at home) this weekend at Maine due to a shoulder injury, it will be tough. Talk about the crap hitting the fan at the worst possible time of the season. ::worry::

Looks like BU will end up playing at Providence in the best-of-3 HE Quarters with an potential NCAA bid on the line, and given the fact that BU has only won 3 times in its last 14 trips to Schneider Arena, that will be an uphill climb at best.

I'd wish the Big Red luck, but I don't think they'll be needing it at least until the NCAA QF round in Worcester or Providence.

Sabo will still be playing for BU this weekend. Something about innocent until proven guilty. Besides, his trial's not until April, so he should be around the rest of the year.

Still, one captain in street clothes, and the other on personal recognizance.   ::nut::

Lets Go Red!!!

Yes, innocent until proven guilty, but for serious crimes such as assault you aren't always allowed to leave the state.  Here's hoping BU gets seeded in Providence. :)

Wow. Even Florida State suspends players charged with a felony.

jd212

Well, Adam, the only reason he really wouldn't be allowed to leave the state is if he were a flight risk. Considering that he's a student and an athlete, I doubt he is going anywhere. Also, I don't think it would be fair to suspend him just for being charged. How much of an uproar would that cause? He hasn't been convicted yet and he pleaded not guilty. But the court apparently did tell him not to go near the kid he supposedly beat up.

Adam:

And here's hoping Harvard shuts youze guys out in the ECAC championship game. So there. ;-)

Touche Mark.  I wouldn't mind if Harvard knocked us off in the ECAC's, if it meant that our club team was on the ice so that our varsity could rest up for their NCAA #1 seed. :-)  What's BU's seed gonna be again?  Oh wait, are they even gonna make the tournament?

The better BU does, the more it helps us.  Go BU!

I think I like this Adam guy who is an undergrad far more than the Adam who is an alumnus. :-P

BU definitely has its work cut out, but, the grave is only half full. I hope the Friars won't provide the final shovel-fulls in a few weeks. Hey, we can't ALL be dominating our leagues you know. ;-)

Well, anyone who claims to be a fan and is OK with losing to Harvard shouldn't be considered a fan. Anyone who is OK with losing to Harvard at the ECAC Championships should be lynched. ::screwy::

Switch BC for Harvard and Hockey East for the ECAC in your post, and Cowbell, you da man.

What about people who say, in a double-overtime game for the ECAC Championship, "I don't care who wins just so long as the game ends."?  I still can't believe I heard that.

Edit: punctuation and an over-exuberant smiley.

I can understand it. It's kind of like the, "I'd rather know either way than be left wondering" comment. Plus, OT is stressful, and I'd much rather it be over than not.
