I read somewhere yesterday that Pannell's year is so good that it's hard to not be overly critical of the other candidates.  I mean, don't get me wrong, most of these players are having terrific years, but they all really pale in comparison to Pannell.  Boltus is probably most deserving of 2nd, but his team didn't even make the field.  White is probably not even the best LSM this year (Karalunas).  Stanwick has 4 more points than Pannell has assists (yea he missed a few games but still), and Galloway is arguably having his worst year since he was a freshman.  Pannell will rightfully win this in a landslide.

Better start practicing now. I predict we're going to see a lot more zone defense next year.

He certainly has a shot in a fan-voting/popularity contest against such under-covered no-names as Jimmer Fredette, Cam Newton, and Kemba Walker.
