So, I know Ship of Fools has been the unofficial NYC home of Cornell hockey for the last few years, but I haven't seen anything posted yet about TV viewing in NYC for this year. Yes, I know AC is very close, but I'll be stuck in the city this weekend. I called Ship of Fools and said 20-30 people, but obviously I fibbed to get the TVs. Are people going?

Beeeej

If you've secured TVs and promised a crowd, I'm happy to send a message to the NYC "Big Red Bulletin" e-mail list to let people know they can watch there.  Don't worry, people will show up.

The game is on CBS College Sports which is part of the basic cable package on Time Warner NYC.  And I believe the game is in HD so I'll be watching from my couch.

I'm pretty sure that's inaccurate.

I should have said "Standard Service" which is one level up from "Basic".  And you may be right.  But I get the channel without subscribing to any additional packages.  Looking at the Time Warner website CBS College Sports is part of something called "Sports Pass".  This package includes channels like Fox College Sports, Fox Soccer+, Tennis Channel, Fuel, Big Ten Network, and more.  I pay for the TV and Internet bundle with no special promotions and I don't subscribe to any sports packages.  And yet I'm getting CBS College.

Standard Definition: channel 457
High Definition: channel 467

Yeah, I also get CBS college sports on twcny with the standard cable package...   it's wedged in between a whole bunch of channels I don't receive, so I too was surprised that it worked.

Ditto for Cablevision of Westchester, although I might pick up the Sports Pak for the weekend to watch the other conference tournaments.

Anything going on in Boston or Metrowest?  I get the channel at home, but that's not as much fun.

Anything in DC? Have got two Cornellians and a Yalie visiting and I don't get CBS.

Try calling the Penn Quarter Sports Tavern.  NCAA basketball will likely dominate today, but they're very good about putting college hockey on TV (there's even a hideous BU jersey on the wall).

Robb

Long shot, but is anyone watching tonight in Seattle?  I have to drop a colleague off at the airport at 5 pm, so I'm going to miss the first half of the game - I'll try to wedge a TV at a sports bar away from the BB crowd after that.

Failing a meet-up, any recommendations in the Sea-Tac/Renton area?

Munchkin and I were there last week to try to catch a Caps game. Out of what looked like 10 tvs, they had 1 tv on the Caps game going on down the street and the other 9 were on the SAME basketball game and they wouldn't change any of them for us. It was kinda annoying. But it certainly doesn't hurt to ask, and in fact, if it is on, can you post it here?
